Gallardo
Named after the famous breed of fighting bull, the Gallardo is one of the most recent additions to the Lamborghini range. Sporting a 5.0L V10 (one of only 3 original engines by Lamborghini) the Gallardo was designed to sit below the Murcielago performance and price wise but still retain the look and style of the more expensive models.
The Gallardo was intended to compete with Ferrari's 360, and later with the F430. It's performance is quite high, whilst not as high as the Murcielago, and offers better traction control and better visibility from within. It two optional styles of Transmission (flappy paddles behind the steering wheel with an automatic clutch system or "E-gear", or the standard 6 speed manual transmission).
The current price for the Gallardo is US$165,000 to $200,000 depending on the additional options.
